LEE & LORENNE’S WEDDING JOURNEY
It started with….. a love of the beach and frangipani’s. What they ended up with was a little different, but exactly what they wanted. The first task was to find a venue and what we found was a hidden gem up in the sunshine coast hinterlands – Capriole Estate. This venue gave us great opportunity but it also changed the theming and gave the couple the chance to have a weekend long celebration with their guests as accommodation was onsite.
With Lorenne’s Pinterest inspiration board in front of me I found myself a little lost. I found myself one day in my favourite material store and there was my answer an ivory and navy blue striped number that would serve as the table runners and also incorporate a rustic beach theme. From here I found myself in search of whimsical centrepieces. With the help of Indigo Bark I was able to have beautiful natural logs. I envisaged them being caressed with moss and delicate flowers with the dancing light of candles creating a wonderful ambience. With the help of Myfanwes I was able to create my vision. With the lighting being a key feature in this outdoor reception we needed enough lighting so guests could see their food but not so strong that you could not take in the beautiful stars above. We went with festoon lighting above the tables and over the central dance floor with soft hanging flowers that created the whimsical feel Lorenne had been seeking. Lee the groom was not left out either. With Chelsea Football team being his favourite sporting club it was only fitting that they had a football pitch as their seating chart and his favourite player’s shirts as the table numbers. With a mixture of mismatched timber chairs it really did bring the entire look together.
Lee and Lorenne are such an amazing young couple. Lorenne had great energy and wanted to do everything. With Lee’s help we had to stop her from making 8 bridesmaid dresses, her own wedding cake and bouquets. We did however allow her to make her amazing handcrafted boxed invitations with a personalised logo that she had drawn and we also let her make her veil. They also bottled their own beer that was served on the night that really made for a great personal touch. Lee and Lorenne were on a tight budget like most couples in their 20’s but with my help and some money crunching we were able to get below the $15,000 mark. This included a two night stay onsite with no compromise. Entertainment was a mammoth 7 piece Scar band that was the best display of live music I have seen at a wedding. They did not have a bar tender as it was an open bar where everyone could help themselves but my team made sure it was constantly stocked, this also saved money for their budget. Catering was also done by Burnt Orange Events(yes I am a caterer as well…sssshhhhh)and there was certainly no compromising with fresh local produce from Kenilworth cheeses, local prawns, salmon and lamb.
Overall this wedding was amazing and it was such a pleasure to be involved. I wish them all the best and truly felt apart of the family by the time the weekend was over.

After weeks of rain, we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day for Claire and Grant’s wedding.
The setting was an exquisite chapel in the grounds of The Hyatt, Sanctuary Cove. As the stunning bride entered the chapel she took the groom’s breath away.
The joyous atmosphere definitely added to the overall excitement felt by all.
It was truly a pleasure to behold the union of these two wonderful souls…
On the 4th of January 2013 the handsome Charlie and equally stunning Nicole celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Valverde Country Hotel. It was a spectacular location that was set to be even better with thanks to all the wonderful friends and family flying in from all over the globe to celebrate what was a great affair. With all credit going to the bride herself Nicole for her meticulous planning and not to forget her mother in-law Linda who is the most creative person I know with a perfect eye for attention. Linda created the bouquets and the flower arrangements that were scattered amongst the reception and ceremony. From the amazing valley views from the Olive Lapa reception venue, the beautiful table settings, wonderful company and not to mention a beautiful couple with their gorgeous little girl Tyla-Jade this was a memorable wedding and a pleasure to be a part of. Once again South Africa showed me why it is one of my favorite picks for a destination wedding. Offering options that are so far apart to anything else seen in Australia with so many venues to choose from you are spoilt for choose and you are guaranteed that perfect wedding your way!!
With Amy and Brendan’s laid back personality Burleigh Heads was a perfect location for them to choose. Amy chose a cherry blossom themed wedding with a variety of soft pinks that was simple and stunning.
What was a perfect autumns day was soon to be upstaged by a stunning bride in an exquisite gown matched with beautiful bridesmaids with one of my favourite bridesmaid dresses I have seen to date.
The reception was held at Pointbreak bar & grill, Burleigh Heads. The setting was perfect with views that invited guests to relax and enjoy the evening ahead.
The very talented Melissa from Pelizzari Photography was there to capture what was a very special day for all involved.
Amy and Brendan are blessed with the love of their family and friends that was evident not only on the day but also in the lead up to their wedding. I wish them the best of luck in the future and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this adorable couple.
The 8th of December was a perfect day for this beautiful couple to get married. They chose the ever impressive Intercontinental(The Hyatt), Sancturay Cove. Upon my arrival I was welcomed by very relaxed and calm bridesmaids, it was only 10:30am and they were already. With only their speeches to rehearse, nerves to calm and Bride to dress they would have to be my most organised bridesmaids yet, only thanks to the bride for her organistational skills. My next job was to check on the groom who was still yet to write his speech at 12pm, but he pulled it together and his speech was perfect and only high praises were sung for his stunning bride in her spectacular Darb Couture gown. This lovely couple were surrounded by so many loved ones especially their parents and siblings, Caitlin and her dad displayed one of the best Father daughter dances I have seen but her dad did have a tough act to follow with Caitlin and Adam showing us their well executed dance moves even in that dress…well done guys it was amazing!!! It was such an honour to be apart of their special day and I wish the newly married Mr and Mrs Brandt a long and happy life together. All the best xxx
Matt and Tamara chose the incredible grounds of The Indiginous Cultural Centre to make their already gorgeous family official. Tamara looked stunningly beautiful as she proceeded down the aisle to meet her handsome Kiwi. It was a casual and natural affair that showed this couples love for each other. I was honoured to be apart of such a memorable and wonderful day.
